1. Who We Are

Building Vectors is a Building Automation and HVAC diagnostic platform operated by Building Vectors LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. We provide AI-assisted troubleshooting tools for building automation and HVAC professionals.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

• Google account email address — collected when you sign in via Google OAuth. Used solely to identify your account and control access to the platform.
• Diagnostic session content — the messages, questions, and responses from your diagnostic sessions. Stored so you can resume conversations and review past sessions.
• Uploaded files and images — files you upload for analysis (screenshots, .bog files, logs, etc.). Processed immediately and deleted from temporary storage after analysis.
• Session metadata — timestamps, session identifiers, and feedback you provide (👍 👎 ✅ Resolved).

We do not collect passwords, payment information, phone numbers, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

3. Cookies

Controls.Support uses a single cookie:

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. Because our only cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function, it does not require consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (performance of a contract).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Authenticate you and control access to the platform
• Store and retrieve your diagnostic session history
• Process files and images you upload for AI analysis
• Improve the diagnostic quality of the platform using anonymized feedback data

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the diagnostic service.

5. AI Processing

Diagnostic queries and uploaded files are processed using AI language models provided by Anthropic (Claude) via Amazon Web Services Bedrock. When you submit a query:

• Your message and any uploaded files are sent to Anthropic's API for processing
• Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy
• We do not share your email address or account identity with Anthropic — queries are submitted without personal identifiers

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the US East (Northern Virginia) region. We use:

• Amazon DynamoDB for session storage
• Amazon S3 for temporary file storage (deleted after processing)
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• AWS encryption at rest for all stored data

Access to the platform is restricted to users on our approved whitelist. We do not operate a public registration system.

7. Data Retention

We retain diagnostic session history indefinitely so you can review and resume past sessions. You can delete your session history at any time by contacting us at privacy@controls.support.

Uploaded files are deleted from temporary storage immediately after analysis is complete, typically within minutes of upload.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• AWS — infrastructure provider (storage, compute)
• Anthropic — AI processing (query content only, no personal identifiers)
• Google — authentication only (we receive your email address via OAuth)
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and session history
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Portability — request your session history in a portable format

10. Children's Privacy

Controls.Support is a professional tool intended for use by adults in the building automation and HVAC industry. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
